2. Couples Class led by Neil Merrett – A Study
of First Peter
This Class consists mostly of couples with young
(and not so young) children, but feel free to join before children
arrive. You won’t be alone. Presently Neil is leading the couples
through the Book of First Peter (LOTS of application there). Under his
direction the couples are growing in their walk with Christ as they feed
one another. One of this group’s highlights is a monthly get together at
one of the member’s homes (pot-luck, etc.). This informal setting
provides the couples opportunity to know other couples in a
non-threatening atmosphere. The Couples Class says to other couples –

3. New Members Class led by Kenny Hodges –
Foundations in Grace
“Foundations in Grace” is a semester course based
on Titus 2:11-14. It was designed and written by “Pastor Kenny” to
provide a sure foundation for all who have chosen to make Emmanuel home.
It is a study of Basic Bible Doctrine regarding the Gospel of Grace and
the Christian Life. Don’t let the word “Basic” trick you. We might
better say “Foundational,” for this course consists of 14 weeks
(lecture, dialogue, Q & A) of thinking through what the Bible says about
GRACE (the course is more meat than milk). Kenny and the Elders desire
that everyone at Emmanuel take this course, but deem it pre-requisite
for those who have a desire to teach. |

4. Mixed Adult Class led by Butch Simmons – End
Time Events
The mixed adult class is for any adult (young, not
so young, single, married) who wants to dig deeper into the Word.
Presently we are looking at “Things to Come: A Study of Prophecy yet
Future.” Our goal is that “Information of the Future might prompt
Intimacy with Christ in the Present.” This diverse group consists of
housewives, grandparents, professors, scientists, retirees, ministers
(you name it). We attempt to maintain a balance between verse-by-verse
and topical teaching (sometimes both), but always attempting to answer
the question – “What Does The Scripture Say? (Of course that would be
true about every class or course at Emmanuel.)
